Kramer was defending his title in Norway and looked in no mood to give it up without a fight as he lead at the halfway stage.
And Kramer, who was a comfortable winner at last month's European Championships, did exactly that as he finished in 13:11.86 minutes for the win.
Belgian Bart Swings did his best to challenge Kramer and came to within 0.05 seconds of halting the Dutch skater from a sixth world title.
There was plenty more for the Dutch fans to cheer about in Norway as fellow European champion Ireen Wust followed suit with victory in the women's 5,000 m and 1,500m.
Like Kramer Wust also lead at the halfway stage in the 5,000m and collected a fourth world title, and third in a row as she crossed the finish line in 7:05.13 minutes for victory.
But she wasn’t done there, also winning the 1,500m in a time of 1:56.30 minutes.
Also finishing atop the podium in Norway was home favourite Havard Bokko, who gave the fans plenty to shout about as he came home in the men’s 1,500m in 1:46.34 minutes for the win.
