Selby registered comfortable wins over Daniel Wells and Scott Donaldson, both 4-0 whitewashes, to confirm his participation in the Munich Open, which takes place from January 4 to 6, 2013.
Selby was one of 16 players to secure their progress to the event at the Event Forum in Fuerstenfeldbruck after the first of two days of qualifying.
There was a host of upsets in the final round of the day though, with world number four Shaun Murphy joining the likes of Stuart Bingham, Ding Junhui and Marco Fu on the scrapheap.
The bottom half of the draw plays out on Tuesday, with Neil Robertson, Steve Davis and Jimmy White among those in action.
