Roma have now won their first seven matches of the season. The only other clubs who were able to win the opening seven rounds in Serie A were Juventus in 1930-31, Milan in 1954-55, Inter in 1966-67, Juventus in 1985-86, Milan in 1992-93 and Juventus in 2005-06.
Of those campaigns, only the Nerazzurri failed to win the Scudetto, while Juve’s title was revoked in Calciopoli. The 2005-06 run was the only one pre-Roma to be achieved with three points for a victory.
The Giallorossi notched up a third straight victory at San Siro between Serie A and Coppa Italia, something they had never achieved before. The previous best was of two in a row from 1941-43. They are unbeaten against Inter in all competition since 2011, notching up three draws and five victories. Roma have scored three goals in seven of their last 12 visits to the Meazza.
Walter Mazzarri has a poor record against the Lupi, managing six wins, four draws and 10 defeats. Inter failed to score at San Siro for the first time since a 1-0 defeat to Bologna on March 10, having put together 23 goals in 11 consecutive games. Samir Handanovic has conceded more goals against Roma than any other club since he has been in Italy, letting in 32 out of a total 380 in official meetings.
Inter had been the only team yet to concede a first half goal this season, but let in three against Roma.

Sebastian Giovinco netted 1 minute 46 seconds after coming off the bench, the quickest goal for a substitute this term. The Atomic Ant’s 39th top flight goal ended a drought that had lasted since Juventus 3-0 Siena on February 24.
Milan have lost their last three Serie A trips to Juventus, their worst run since four on the bounce from 1999 to 2002. Between League and Coppa Italia they’ve managed one draw here in five visits. The Bianconeri are still unbeaten in all competition this season with seven victories and three draws, but have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight.
Andrea Pirlo scored his 51st Serie A goal, 22 of them from direct free kicks, so he’s now on a par with Alessandro Del Piero and six behind Sinisa Mihajlovic looking at the last 30 years. Gigi Buffon made his 326th Serie A appearance in a Juventus jersey, on a par with Roberto Bettega and Mario Varglien to go seventh in the all-time charts. Dino Zoff is next up on 330 games.
Of Milan’s 13 Serie A goals this season, six came in the final 15 minutes. The Rossoneri are without a win in their last six away games in all competition, managing four draws, their worst run on their travels since May-October 2010. Sulley Muntari went up to 22 Serie A goals thanks to his first ever top flight brace. Philippe Mexes saw red for the eighth time in his career.
Lazio have now drawn their last three games, but their 0-0 draw with Fiorentina ended their run of six consecutive home victories in all competition. The last time they failed to win here was a 2-0 Serie A defeat to Juventus on April 15. This is Fiorentina’s first away draw of 2013, putting together 11 wins and seven losses since the 2-2 at Torino on November 25 2012.
The Viola have only won one of their last six visits to Lazio, losing three. Fiorentina failed to score on their travels for only the second time under Vincenzo Montella, the other being a 2-0 loss to Juventus on February 9. The Tuscans bagged 45 goals in the other 24 attempts. Montella remains unbeaten as a Coach against the Biancocelesti, winning four and drawing six, but it’s the first time his sides have fired blanks.
In Sampdoria's 2-2 draw with Torino, Ciro Immobile scored - and has found the net in all three of his Serie A visits to Sampdoria, also netting for Pescara in May 2012 and Genoa in November 2012. He hadn’t scored since Inter 1-1 Genoa on December 22 2012. Torino have conceded nine penalties in the 2013 calendar year, more than any other club in the top five European Leagues, and three alone this season. However, they also received three spot-kicks this term. The Granata have conceded 24 goals in the last 11 official away games.
The Blucerchiati got their first point and first goals on home turf this season. Gianluca Sansone’s fourth Serie A goal was his first since November 4 2012, Napoli 1-1 Torino. Samp have not kept a clean sheet since a 0-0 away to Atalanta on March 30, leaking 31 goals in 16 rounds. Delio Rossi is unbeaten against Toro since Pescara’s 1-0 Serie B result in May 2001, notching up four wins and five draws in all competition.
Livorno are Goran Pandev’s favourite victims, as he has now put seven goals past them in all competition following Napoli's 4-0 win on Sunday. Napoli are on 19 points, exactly the same as last season, and have scored in each of their last 17 League games for a total 44 goals. They remain unbeaten at the San Paolo in 14 League games this season, winning 11. It’s the best positive streak since May 2009-February 2010. Livorno have conquered Naples just once in Serie A, 2-1 in 1940, along with four draws and 10 defeats.
Napoli are the most prolific side in the opening 15 minutes, scoring five of their 18 goals in this period.
Parma's 3-1 win over Sassuolo was the first ever top flight edition of the Emilia Derby. They had met in Serie B in 2008-09 with a 1-1 draw at the Tardini. The Ducali are still without a penalty in 2013.
Antonio Cassano has contributed to five of Parma’s total 11 goals in the League this season, scoring two and setting up three. Raffaele Palladino’s 16th Serie A goal was his first since Udinese 2-2 Parma on November 18 2012. Aleandro Rosi found the net for the second game running, nine overall in the top flight. Domenico Berardi scored his debut Serie A goal in his third appearance.
Danilo opened the scoring in Udinese's 2-0 win over Cagliari. He has scored just four Serie A goals, but two of them were against Cagliari. His last was in Sampdoria 0-2 Udinese in December 2012. Udinese continued their unbeaten home record in the League, now at 14 victories and eight stalemates. Antonio Di Natale went up to 179 Serie A goals, five shy of Gabriel Batistuta’s 12th place in the all-time charts.
Cagliari are still without an away victory since a 2-0 at Pescara on February 17, scraping six points from 10 attempts. The Sardinians conquered the Stadio Friuli only once in Serie A, 2-0 in 2008, along with six draws and 13 defeats. Cagliari had not failed to score since a 1-0 defeat to Parma on May 8, netting 11 goals in their next nine competitive outings.
With their 4-1 win at Bologna, Hellas Verona have recorded their best top flight start since 1984-85, when going on to win the Scudetto. Andrea Mandorlini had never won a Serie A away match in his coaching career with five draws from 15 attempts. Hellas were without a top flight victory on their travels since a 2-0 at Fiorentina on October 21 2001 and they hadn’t put together two consecutive wins since June that same year. Their last win at Bologna was 3-0 back in March 1978, followed by four draws and 10 defeats in all competition.
Juan Manuel Iturbe scored his second goal in as many games, while for Jorginho it’s three in three. Luca Toni went up to 112 in Serie A, catching Edinson Cavani in the all-time charts, but it’s his first away goal since Juventus-Genoa in April 2011.

Atalanta ended a run of five consecutive away defeats (since Inter 3-4 Atalanta on April 7) with their 1-0 win at Chievo. They had never previously won on Chievo’s turf, earning six draws and five losses between Serie A and B. The Orobici have kept just two clean sheets in their last 19 away matches in all competition, conceding 38 goals. Maxi Moralez ended a goal drought that lasted 374 days, as he hadn’t scored in Serie A since facing Catania on September 26 2012. The Flying Donkeys lost three on the bounce for the first time since September 2012, when it was five consecutive defeats.
