Rugby - Hala'ufia banned for two weeks

London Irish back-row forward Chris Hala'Ufia has been banned for two weeks following a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing in Coventry.

Hala'Ufia was cited for striking Wasps hooker Rhys Thomas during an Aviva Premiership game two days ago.

His suspension means he cannot play again until March 12, ruling him out of Irish's Premiership appointment with Northampton on Saturday.

The RFU also confirmed a one-week suspension for Worcester full-back Errie Claassens.

Claassens was sent off for tripping Gloucester's Jonny May in a league match at Kingsholm last Friday.

His suspension expires on March 2, meaning he will miss Worcester's home match against Wasps on Friday night.
