Rugby - England Saxons slump to defeat against Scotland A

Scotland A recorded their first victory on English soil with a 13-9 win over England Saxons in appalling conditions at Kingston Park.

Saracens winger Duncan Taylor gave the visitors a perfect start in a snowy and rainy North-East, touching down inside the first minute.

Tom Heathcote converted and with George Ford on target with two kicks for the hosts, Scotland A went in 10-6 ahead at the break.

The sides traded penalties after the restart and, despite the sin-binning of both Gordon Reid and Jon Welsh in the final minutes, Scotland's defence held firm to record back-to-back victories over England's second string following their stunning 35-0 success last year.
