Premier League - Team of the Week: Twin peaks

Rafael makes our Team of the Week after scoring one of the goals of the season, but who joins him in the XI?

    GK: Mark Schwarzer (Fulham)

Dimitar Berbatov may have provided the stand-out moment, but the dependable Schwarzer was Fulham's most consistent performer.

    RB: Rafael (Manchester United)

The right-back scored one of the goals of the season with his outrageous hit from range but his all-round performance was admirable too.

    CB: Paul Scharner (Wigan Athletic)

Put in a great defensive shift to nullify the Reading attack and ensure that Ali Al-Habsi was a virtual bystander all afternoon

    CB: Matija Nastasic (Manchester City)

The 19-year-old, deputising for the injured Vincent Kompany against Chelsea, produced a performance of maturity far beyond his years. Another Stefan Savic he is not.

    LB: Davide Santon (Newcastle United)

The Italian was an important influence on the left of the Newcastle defence as he linked up well with Yoan Gouffran ahead of him and bombed down the wing.

    RM: Santi Cazorla (Arsenal)

A classy performance by Cazorla was enhanced by his two goals against Aston Villa, but the little Spanish player's passing technique was also a joy to behold on a day when his manager really needed him.

    CM: Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)

The old man just keeps on going. He was constantly involved in attack and defence against QPR, scoring with a great finish and almost grabbing a wonder goal late on.

    CM: Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)

Another impressive display from the England international who just doesn't ever have a bad game. His dinked pass for Nacho Monreal to set up Cazora's second was the highlight.

    LM: Stephane Sessegnon (Sunderland)

Sessegnon was unlucky to be on the losing side against West Brom as he scored with a delightful curled finished and worked his socks off for Sunderland.

    FW: Papiss Cisse (Newcastle United)

The Senegalese striker has had a difficult season but struck a superb goal in a 4-2 win over Southampton with a dipping volley from range.

FW: Romelu Lukaku (West Bromwich Albion)

Two goals combined with his pace, power and hold-up play meant the Belgian was a menace for Sunderland all afternoon.
