Eriksen, who has one year left on his deal in Amsterdam, has reportedly been the subject of interest from a number of clubs including Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, but he has now put on record his admiration for the London club.
"Tottenham are a great club," he told Danish newspaper BT: "I know from Jan Vertonghen that it is a good club which is interesting. But there has not been any contact.
"We'll find out in two weeks. There are to my knowledge no negotiations right now either with a new club or Ajax."
The playmaker also revealed that he has turned down interest from Russia, stating that he is holding out for a move to one of the “major” European leagues.
"There are Russian clubs that have called and made bids for me. I did not take much time to refuse. I would like to join one of the five major leagues. I have the view that I do not want to go to Russia at my age. I do not look at the money."
The 21-year-old has made 160 appearances for Ajax and has 36 caps for Denmark.
