Munster made a winning start to their RaboDirect Pro12 campaign by overcoming Edinburgh 23-18 in an error-strewn contest at Murrayfield.
Last season's top tryscorer Tim Visser crossed for a hat-trick of tries for the hosts but it was not enough as an 18-point haul from Ian Keatley.
In addition to Keatley's contribution a Luke O'Dea touchdown gave Munster the points.
