    Kittel takes Franco-Belge second stage

    Marcel Kittel of Germany clinched a sprint victory on stage two of the Circuit Franco-Belge on Friday.

    Kittel, riding for Argos-Shimano, outsprinted his rivals to win the stage in a time of 4:13.50.

    The German pipped Nacer Bouhanni of France and Aidis Kruopis of Lithuania to claim an important win on the Antoing to Poperinge stage.

    Jurgen Roelandts of Belgium remains the overall race leader.

    Stage three of the I’Eurometropole Tour sees the riders negotiate the 173.7km route from Peruwelz to Ichtegem.
