The 25-year-old former Brighton and Millwall keeper has agreed a deal at Kingsmeadow until the end of the season.
He is in line for an immediate debut against York on Saturday after Doncaster recalled veteran Neil Sullivan from his loan at Kingsmeadow.
Addicks boss Chris Powell has also allowed striker Michael Smith to join Colchester on a month's loan.
