Paul Rachubka is suspended after the FA rejected an appeal against his late dismissal in the 1-1 draw with Plymouth last weekend.
With regular number one Ian Dunbavin sidelined for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, it leaves only youth team keeper Andrew Dawber.
But Belford, 24, has moved to the Crown Ground on a one-week deal and is eligible for the League Two clash at Rotherham on Saturday.
