Left-back Ridehalgh, 22, joined Tranmere on a three-month emergency loan in time to make Moore's starting line-up in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat, but was shown a straight red card after half-an-hour for pulling back Chris Birchall in the penalty area.
"Was it a sending off? I thought Liam had started brightly, he can defend and he put balls in the right areas," Moore said after the match.
"The two centre-halves were caught flat and he got round. He might have just leaned into him, but I think it was harsh."
Huddersfield academy product Ridehalgh, who has had previous loan spells at Swindon, Chesterfield and Rotherham, has joined up with Terriers team-mate Chris Atkinson, who has started in all 12 of Tranmere's games this season since arriving on loan in the summer.
