The Arsenal defender, 20, completed his move to the Foxes on Friday and could be included in Nigel Pearson's squad for Sunday's home clash against Leeds.
"Once I knew Leicester were interested, I just wanted to come here," Miquel told the club's official website.
"Everything I knew about the club was good, so the manager didn't have to say anything to me to convince me to come, I was already focused on coming to Leicester myself.
"I'm very happy to be here. It's a pleasure to come to this club because I think we're going to get a big chance (of promotion) so I'm really happy.
"I already know that there is a great side here and we will be up there this season.
"I know it's going to be tough to get games because it's a very competitive squad, but I came here for that. I'm part of the team now and I'm looking forward to playing as much as I can."
The Barcelona-born centre-half, who made his debut for Arsenal in 2011 against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup, featured three times for the Gunners last season.
