David Moyes: "Wigan played well and on the day we didn't play well. We've not had many of those days this season, probably not had many of those days since January last year. This was one of those days where it didn't go well at all and we just didn't perform. We were fortunate as they had hit the post (before the goals) but there were one or two signs we were getting organised to deal with it but we were soon a couple of goals down. I thought we tried everything we could at the start of the second half, but on the day we didn't make the goalkeeper work hard enough, We can't argue, Wigan were the better team on the day. We can't complain, we weren't good enough."
Roberto Martinez: "I have said time after time I've made eight or nine changes in the past (in the cup) and since I have arrived at Wigan we want cup success, but not at the expense of the league form. Making nine or 10 changes is a need in the modern game. The difference now is this season we have a group of 24 players who have shown when they get the opportunity they are competitive. If anything this cup run has given us extra players. I think Callum McManaman showed he is ready to play in the league and (goalkeeper) Joel Robles showed a great level of performance. This cup success is bringing extra competition into the league campaign and that is what we need to get from this success."
Roberto Mancini: "The Premier League has not finished - we never give up, we have to win the next game to get to the final of the FA Cup and if we win the competition it will be a great achievement. It is good to play at Wembley and this is the second time in the FA Cup and we want to play there twice if it’s possible. I don’t know who we will play, it could be United, Chelsea, Wigan - when you are in the semi-final or the final of the FA Cup you play against good teams."
David Flitcroft: "The ruthless side of (City) today – to batter us to a pulp in that first-half, that showed me what that team was all about. They wanted to get 7, 8 or 9 goals, they were ruthless, they were there to floor us. Tevez is a ghost, the players in there are telling me how he just pulls away from you and gets a shot on target. It’s his power – he’s frightening. I was glad there was only one minute added time."
