Football - Duke poised for Bantams return

Bradford goalkeeper Matt Duke will return to contention for the derby clash at York.

Duke missed the home draw with Dagenham in midweek as he served a one-game ban for his straight red card in Sunday's Capital One Cup final at Wembley.

Jon McLaughlin stepped in for Duke on Wednesday and manager Phil Parkinson must decide who to start with at Bootham Crescent.

Parkinson has no new injury or suspension problems, but could be tempted to make several changes as his side chase only their second league win in seven matches.

Strikers James Hanson and Nahki Wells started on the substitutes' bench against Dagenham and will be hoping to return, as will midfielder Will Atkinson and defender Carl McHugh, who were also rested.

Central defenders Michael Nelson and Andrew Davies were back in the starting XI in midweek, with Rory McArdle switching to right-back.

The Bantams are 10 points adrift of the play-offs with three games in hand.
