Scottish Football - Caley clean up in November awards

Inverness have scooped a Clydesdale Bank Premier League awards treble for November.

Terry Butcher won manager of the month, striker Billy McKay collected the player award and winger Aaron Doran has been named young player of November.

Caley Thistle ended the month third in the SPL with the highlight a 1-0 victory at Celtic Park, when McKay scored the only goal.

Inverness also won at Kilmarnock and Aberdeen and only a controversial last-gasp penalty by Marius Zaliukas denied them victory over Hearts.

McKay, 24, scored four goals in all, earning him a call-up to the Northern Ireland squad, while 21-year-old former Blackburn player Doran continued to impress on the wing.

There was one down side to the month for Inverness though when Motherwell ended their 10-match unbeaten run with a 5-1 thrashing at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium.
