Football - Adams keen on Coventry stay

Blair Adams is hoping he can extend his loan stay at Coventry.

The left-back is set to return to parent club Sunderland in January but after a string of impressive performances, Adams has revealed he may continue his spell at the Ricoh Arena.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in the seven games the 21-year-old has played for the club and after providing two assists for David McGoldrick on Saturday, Adams is delighted with his temporary move.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: "I'm loving my time here - it's been brilliant to be playing every week and this is a team on the up.

"I have only played six or seven games but some of them have been fantastic performances when we have produced some great football and created a lot of chances. We want that to continue and climb up the league.

"If the manager wants me to stay then we'll have a talk and see what happens.

"I'm really happy with the way things have gone and hopefully he's happy with how I have been playing. We will have to see how it goes come the New Year."
