Behind the ParkinGO MTC Racing rider was Ireland's Eugene Laverty on the Aprilia with FIXI Crescent Suzuki's Leon Camier of Britain completing the podium.
Championship leader Max Biaggi was down in 13th while fellow Italian Marco Melandri, second in the standings, retired. Briton Leon Haslam also failed to finish.
Jonathan Rea and British compatriot Tom Sykes boosted their title hopes with fourth and fifth respectively, ahead of Carlos Checa who splits them in the standings with Sykes third and Rea fifth.
