    Cycling - Seven WorldTour teams confirmed for San Luis

    A total of 17 teams, seven of them WorldTour squads, have been confirmed for the Tour de San Luis.

    However Alberto Contador’s Saxo-Tinkoff outfit are yet to commit, with three further WorldTour spots to be filled.

    Contador won two stages - later stripped due to his positive test for Clenbuterol - in this year's edition. Overall winner Levi Leipheimer will be absent from the January 21-27 race after he was fired by Omega Pharma-QuickStep over admissions of doping.

    Six Professional Continental teams - CSF-Inox, Androni-Venezuela, Caja Rural, Vini Fantini, UnitedHealthcare, CCC Polsat Polkowice - will contest the race along with four local teams.

    It features seven stages totalling 1,027.5km.
