One the eve of the World Championships the great and the good headed to Davos for the final World Cup event before they flock to Italy and Val di Femme.
And Johaug looks in ominous form as she stormed to the win in 26:16.7 minutes, 8.9 seconds ahead of Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk while fellow Norwegian Kristin Stoermer Steira was third.
The victory helped Johaug close the gap slightly on overall World Cup leader Kowalczyk by just 20 points.
Johaug now sits on 1047 points, 505 behind Kowalczyk with eight events remaining in the campaign.
Meanwhile, Steira's podium finish now has her well placed for a medal come the end of the World Cup season as she now sits third on 929 points, leapfrogging American Kikkan Randall who is 23 points further back.
