The hosts hold an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series but Shane Watson will return for Australia after being suspended for the third Test for failing to deliver on a request for feedback from the team management.
But with Watson having served his time on the naughty step, Australia coach Mickey Arthur was pleased to see him back with the squad, and said: "We are really happy to get Shane back. It is really important he came back."
He went on: "Shane's been exceptional over the last week, we've had numerous conversations with him. I am very comfortable that Shane has accepted the punishment.
"He didn't agree with the penalty but he agreed that they had done wrong.
"We have pretty much got that sorted and I am really comfortable with where it sits with Watto, we are really happy to have him back."
Australia can at least breathe a sigh of relief that explosive India opener Shikhar Dhawan will miss the finale due to a fractured left hand, an injury he picked up when fielding in his maiden Test.
Dhawan made 187 off just 174 balls on debut, and has been replaced in the squad for the final Test by Suresh Raina.
That means when Australia has the new ball in hand, they could be looking at a new pairing of Murali Vijay and Ajinkya Rahane at the crease - with Gautam Gambhir also out injured and Virender Sehwag dropped due to poor form.
Cheteshwar Pujara could also front up in the top two of India's order, after doing so in the second innings of the third Test.
