Recent reports have speculated that McLeish is considering his future at the Championship club after little over a month at the helm.
McLeish was left frustrated after missing out on several targets - most notably Peterborough winger George Boyd.
And a bad week for the Forest boss was capped on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at his former club Birmingham, where both Blues goals were scored by another player he tried to sign - Chris Burke.
But Reid insists McLeish has the support of the players.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Everyone is happy with how he is - an honest, straight manager.
"For me, as a footballer, that is all that you want because that is how I feel I am as a player.
"I've enjoyed working with him since he has come in and it would be very, very disappointing if he did leave. I have no reason to believe that is the case - as far as I know he is the manager and really good one."
