Eurosport - Cedric Makiadi, SC Freiburg
It has been confirmed that the midfielder damaged a ligament in his knee against former club Wolfsburg in a 5-2 defeat on March 9 - a match in which he scored an own goal after returning from the African Cup of Nations.
Makiadi has played in 122 league games out of a possible 127 since 2009 under coach Christian Streich, netting eight times.
He is recognised as a key strand at the heart of the team alongside skipper Julian Schuster.
