The 30-year-old finished with a score of 1340 to finish day one in 13th and will now face Ivory Coast's Carla Frangilli in her first knockout match when she returns to action in Belek Antalya on Wednesday.
Rebecca Martin was the next highest Brit in the qualification round as she finished 43rd while Amy Oliver was 66th – the trio's score seeing Great Britain qualify in 11th in the team event.
In the non-Olympic men's compound event Adam Ravenscroft put on a fine display to finish his qualifying round in second place.
The Brit, in just his second international event, scored an impressive 710 and is just three points behind defending silver medallist Jesse Broadwater.
Duncan Bushby was the next highest Brit as he finished qualifying 49th, while Chris Bell was 70th – the trio also finishing the team event in 11th place.
There was more good news in the women's compound as two-time Paralympic champion Danielle Brown marked her first-ever able-bodied World Championships by finishing the qualification round in tenth.
Brown's score of 683 was good enough to sneak into the top ten while compatriots Rikki Bingham and Andrea Gales are 25th and 53rd respectively – their combined score seeing them sit sixth in the team competition.
Elsewhere, in the compound mixed team event Ravenscroft and Brown's scores see Great Britain sit fourth.
