Live Commentary

  1. - Gadea wins!!! Olive second and from nowhere Stefan Bradl takes third! Di Meglio fourth and Scott Redding fifth - well done! Sixth for Danny Webb and Bradley Smith misses out on the points altogether.

  2. 18/18 Last lap and Gadea has broken clear - tremendous pace. This race is surely his to lose. Redding - he's 15, remember - his fourth but only just.

  3. 17/18 Two laps to go - Gadea, Di Meglio, Redding and Olive are the leading group.

  4. 16/18 De Rosa out!! He smashes into the back of Olive and crashes! Somehow Olive stays upright! Scott Redding into third.

  5. 14/18 He's gone! Talmasci's engine goes and his race is over. That really opens things up!

  6. 13/18 Talmasci is showing the kind of nous that made him a world champion. He is staying away from his dicing rivals as much as possible and leads this race.

  7. 12/18 Gadea runs wide and Scott Redding takes him spectacularly to go third! Great stuff from the young Brit with the black crash helmet!

  8. 11/18 Redding is in fifth, Webb seventh, and they could be moving up the order courtesy of some reidiculous dicing at the front! Olive, Talmasci and Gadea are cutting each other up like nobody's busines...

  9. 9/18 A front three of Talmasci, Gadea and De Rosa have broken away a little. Meanwhile Bradley Smith plods on two seconds a lap behind the leaders.

  10. 8/18 Sergio Gadea leads across the line but you could throw a blanket over the front seven - Gadea, Talmasci, De Rosa, Redding, Webb, Olive, Di Meglio.

  11. 7/18 Danny Webb sets the fastest lap of the race and the leading group swells to seven, This is a cracking race - as the 125s so often are.

  12. 6/18 A group of six at the front - Olive ahead of Talmasci, De Rosa... Redding and Webb are both in touch as well.

  13. 4/18 Joan Olive sets a fastest lap in fourth place, while Raffaele De Rosa is up to second behind Gabor Talmacsi.

  14. 3/18 Dino Lombardi is penalised for a jump start. Meanwhile Britain's Danny Webb is fifth and Scott Redding ninth. Bradley Smith soldiers on but he is way back.

  15. 2/18 Smith has a problem with the bike!! He drops to sixth or seventh and is going backwards now. Disaster!

  16. 1/18 Smith gets a good start and continues to lead from the reigning champion Talnmaszi. Scott Redding has dropped back it seems - and Esteve Rabat is down!

  17. 1/18 This 18-lap race is under way!! 34 riders on the grid, including 15-year-old Scott Redding on the front row!

  18. - Bradley Smith starts from pole position as the 125cc MotoGP championship gets under way in a floodlit Qatar!
