Live Commentary

  1. - Corsi extends his lead at the top of the championship standings to 17 points, while Aprilia Aspar's Sergio Gadea - ninth - slips from second to fifth in the standings with 32 points, replaced by Terol (42), Olive (40) and Aprilia Kiefer's eighth-placed Stefan Bradl (37).

  2. 0' Corsi crosses the line ahead of Olive - 0.299 the gap - and Terol, who is over six seconds further back. American Bonsey ends in fourth, with Webb taking fifth and Talmacsi sixth.

  3. 1' Webb in fifth as we enter the final lap. Go on son!

  4. 2' Corsi looking to extend his championship lead and should be fine from here.

  5. 4' Corsi has the lead from Olive!!!

  6. 6' Talmasci's advantage being eaten up at the rate of half-a-second a lap...

  7. 7' Smith shakes his head sorrowfully, his ginger mane shaved to almost nothing over the weekend it seems.

  8. 8' Hungarian Talmasci six seconds off Terol's pace. Three seconds separate the former from the chasing pack.

  9. 10' Webb, the British hope now, behind that pack in seventh. The four ahead are so close together that one of them at least has to crash at some point.

  10. 11' The bike deposited him into a roll, but he looks fine as he wanders off with stewards. A shame for the Brit. The order now: Olive, Corsi, Terol, Gabor Talmacsi, Stevie Bonsey, Bradl.

  11. 11' SMITH CRASHES OUT AND INTO THE GRAVEL!!!

  12. 12' Smith bearing down on Corsi, but the Italian holding him off for now.

  13. 13' Olive back in front for Derbi, turning into an interesting contest this one. Many of the 41,000 crowd still here to back the less powerful bikes.

  14. 15' Karel Pesek and Raffaele de Rosa both out after crashes.

  15. 16' Terol not in any mood to give up his place and re-takes the lead!!

  16. 17' Olive races into first place ahead of Terol! Smith still third.

  17. 18' At the start of the lap Smith rushes past Corsi and into third. Terol still leading.

  18. 20' Webb meanwhile has righted a problem of his own and is seventh now, looking ready to challenge again. A shame that he slipped back so far after a cracking start that put him behind the leader.

  19. 20' Briton Scott Redding went from 10th to 16th on the first lap and is now out of the race.

  20. 21' Sergio Gadea slipped back from fifth to seventh to let Olive and Bradl through.

  21. 22' Behind Smith is Joan Olive on his Derbi, then Stefan Bradl on another Aprilia.

  22. 23' MASSIVE START FROM SMITH!!! He is up to fourth on the first lap! Terol leads from Webb, with Corsi dropping from first to third.

  23. - The warm-up lap ends and we await the green light. Smith starting from 13th on the fourth row.

  24. - Simone Corsi starts from pole, with fellow Aprilia riders Stevie Bonsey, Nicolas Terol and Danny Webb also on the front row.
