Live Commentary

  1. - What a start to today's racing. Di Meglio looked the most likely for a long while, but Corsi timed his move to perfection. Smith bags 11 points for his fifth position. Onto the 250cc!!

  2. 0' CORSI TAKES IT!!!! From Talmacsi in second and Espargaro in third. Smith comes in fifth.

  3. 1' Smith gets mugged in the straight! He's down into fifth. Corsi has the lead, Talmacsi is lurking.

  4. 2' SMITH TAKES DI MEGLIO ON THE STRAIGHT AND HE'S IN THE LEAD!!!

  5. 3' Di Meglio leads, from SMITH IN SECOND!!! Terol has slipped way down into seventh.

  6. 4' It's shaping up to be a titantic final few laps. SMITH IS UP TO FOURTH!!! Great stuff from the British rider.

  7. 6' Simone Corsi is up into second. Smith is still making good progress, he's into fifth now.

  8. 7' TRACK RECORD FOR DI MEGLIO!!! He laps in 1:58.570 to set a new mark for 125cc bikes at Mugello.

  9. 8' Di Meglio's move into first was seriously impressive, he cut his way through several riders to take the advantage. Talmasci in second, Pol Esparago in third.

  10. 11' Getting close to the halfway mark now, and Di Maglio leads from Talmacsi....but Talmacsi takes him!! Great riding!!

  11. 13' 13 laps left, and Di Meglio is back in the lead. Smith is up into eighth, he's having a real go at this.

  12. 14' 14 laps to go and the first 12 riders are split by just 1.1 seconds.

  13. 15' Bradl is taken, but he fights back into the lead. Di Meglio is stalking him here.

  14. 16' 16 laps to go and Bradl is out on his own ahead. Di Meglio is pushing hard in second. Briton Bradley Smith sets the fastest lap so far to climb into ninth.

  15. - STEFAN BRADL COMES FROM FOURTH TO LEAD!! Great riding from the German, cavalier stuff.

  16. - Stefano Bianco slides off the track. He's the first one down today.

  17. - All change with 18 laps to go. Nicolas Terol of Spain takes the lead, with Di Meglio in second and Talmasci in third.

  18. - Di Meglio steals the lead! What a start for the championship leader. Talmasci is in second now.

  19. - And they're off!! Gabor Talmasci takes an early lead. De Rosa has had a terrible start, he's down in sixth.

  20. - Mike Di Meglio, the championship leader is in third.

  21. - Italian Raffaele de Rosa is in pole, leading a huge field of 35 riders for 20 laps of this exciting circuit.
