A gruelling wet race and not one to remember if you are a British fan. The 250cc race starts at 6.15am UK time - join us shortly for that.
19/19
Iannone wins!! But the real drama is the race for second, where Talmasci has a real go at Di Meglio but cannot get past! Espargaro fourth with Stefan Bradl fifth.
18/19 Two laps to go and Di Meglio takes Gabor Talmasci! The Frenchman into second.
17/19 Three laps to go and this race is Andrea Iannone's to lose. Amazing - the Italian's previous best result this year was 11th.
16/19 Oh no!! Redding is down!! Unbelievable! All three Britons have crashed. The youngster walks off holding his wrist. He looks to be in some pain and let's hope there is not too much damage there.
15/19 The final Briton Scott Redding is heading for a points finish in 13th. Let's hope he doesn't complete an unfortunate hat-trick after Webb and Smith go down.
14/19 Iannone is starting to open up a bit of a lead, while Talmasci slips back into the clutches of Di Meglio. Meanwhile two more riders lower down the field go down. A treacherous day in Shanghai.
12/19 Leader Andrea Iannone sets the fastest lap of the race - is it starting to dry up out there? Wet weather specialist Mike Di Meglio is starting to close in on the leading two.
11/19 Another Briton crashes out!! This time it's Danny Webb from eighth place - disaster.
10/19 Down goes Michael Ranseder from sixth place! Although the German's Aprilia is undamaged and still running, and he is able to resume.
9/19 Iannone and Talmasci are clear at the front, followed by Espargaro and Di Meglio. Then the rest are in a massive bunch.
8/19 1-Iannone, 2-Talmasci, 3-Espargaro, 4-Di Meglio, 5-De Rosa, 6-Ranseder, 7-Cortese, 8-Bradl, 9-Webb, 10-Olive.
7/19 Bradley Smith is down!! Disaster for the Briton!! He is down in the gravel and absolutely distraught. Three non-points scores in four races, and his championship hopes are in tatters.
6/19 Collision! It had to happen, and it is championship leader Simone Corsi who goes down!! He gets back on the bike but comes down pit lane and that is his race over!
5/19 No change at the front, with Iannone, Talmasci and Smith starting to get away from the rest of the pack. The three are trading fastest laps.
4/19 This season's top Brit Danny Webb is up to 14th, but he should be able to make up some more ground. They are running virtually three abreast from sixth downwards! Great racing - but you can't help but feel some of these guys could end up getting their backsides wet.
3/19 After three laps: 1-Iannone, 2-Talmasci, 3-Smith, 4-Espargaro, 5-Di Meglio, 6-Olive.
2/19 Smith loses another place, falling to third behind Gabor Talmasci. Meanwhile Sergio Gadea has either come off or run wide. Either way he is now last.
1/19
GOOOO!!! Great start by Brdley Smith from pole, but he lamost immediately loses the lead to Andrea Iannone. It is really wet out on the track - painstakingly slow progress.
