  1. 70/70 - Six races left then and the drama is certainly not over. Next up is the Turkish Grand Prix in thre weeks. Join us again for our usual comprehensive service here on eurosport.yahoo.com

  2. 70/70 - It's a pretty good track for the Brits really with Jenson Button and Damon Hill winning here and Nigel Mansell taking the title here in 1992.

  3. 70/70 - A great performance then from Hamilton, who will be on the podium without Ron Dennis for the first time.

  4. 70/70 - Talk about rising above all the politics! That's Hamilton's third win of his rookie season and his world championship lead is now up from two points to seven over Alonso.

  5. 70/70 - Raikkonen does his fastest lap on the final tour with Heidfeld a well-deserved third ahead of Alonsso and Kubica, who was only a handful of seconds behind the McLaren by the end.

  6. 70/70 - HE'S DONE IT!!!! LEWIS HAMILTON WINS THE HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX!

  7. 69/70 - Just a lap to go now for Hamilton...

  8. 67/70 - Massa has finally made it by Wurz, but he's still only 13th. That's an improvement of just one place on his qualifying spot.

  9. 66/70 - Speaing of small mistakes, Alonso goes off exiting turn four for the second time in the race. He barely loses out though as he is still right on the tail of the BMW Sauber man.

  10. 64/70 - We're still far from finished here. Alonso is all over Heidfeld and Hamilton too cannot afford to make even a small mistake.

  11. 62/70 - That ruling though will not affect either Hamilton nor Alonso though. Either would still be allowed onto the podium to collect the drivers' trophies.

  12. 61/70 - We've just had news from the race stewards that if McLaren win the race, a team representitive will not be allowed onto the podium to collect the winning constructors' trophy.

  13. 60/70 - Alonso is now right on Heidfeld's tail. At this rate he will drop to seven points behind Hamilton in the championship, but it could have been so much worse.

  14. 59/70 - Kubica, by the way, has made his final stop from third place and that has let Heidfeld and Alonso through, although he did stay ahead of Schumacher.

  15. 58/70 - IT'S ONLY HALF A SECOND NOW!!!!!! Was it just Hamilton getting used to his soft tyres? We know he's preferred the harder ones this weekend.

  16. 57/70 - HE GRABS ANOTHER SECOND THAT TIME AND IS NOW ONLY A SECOND BEHIND!!!! RACE ON!!!!

  17. 56/70 - Raikkonen's just taken two seconds in two laps out of Hamilton and he's only two behind now!!!!

  18. 55/70 - Rosberg pits from fourth place. It's been a great drive from the German but the three-stop strategy hasn't really worked as he drops to eighth behind the two-stopping Alonso, Schumacher and Webber.

  19. 54/70 - Heidfeld makes his third and final stop. Both Kubica and Rosberg go through into third and fourth and both are consistently lapping half a second quicker than the German too. He has a real race on his hands.

  20. 53/70 - Wurz has emerged from the pits right in front of Massa. His day goes from bad to worse, or should that be bad to Wurz?

  21. 52/70 - 18 laps left then and it's a 4.1 second lead for Hamilton over Raikkonen. Raikkonen has traffic too in the shape of Coulthard's Red Bull.

  22. 51/70 - Massa pits from 12th, 2.8 seconds behind Wurz. He re-joins just ahead of Sato.

  23. 50/70 - Alonso pits as well. Rosberg goes by and into fourth... BUT THE WORLD CHAMPION FINALLY ENDS HIS HOUR BEHIND SCHUMACHER BY GETTING AHEAD OF THE TOYOTA MAN!

  24. 50/70 - Hamilton pits from the lead. The clock says 4.9 seconds... AND HE RETAINS THE LEAD AHEAD OF RAIKKONEN!!!! HAMILTON IS ODDS ON FOR VICTORY IN THE HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX!

  25. 49/70 - Schumacher pits from fourth. That drops him behind Alonso, Kubica, Rosberg and Kovalainen, but they potentially all still have to make another stop.

  26. 48/70 - Hamilton does a 1:20.3. That's just two tenths slower than the fastest lap of the race. He's really pushing and Raikkonen is now 26 seconds behind following his stop, and stuck behind Sato's Super Aguri, who he is trying to lap.

  27. 47/70 - Honda confirm Jenson Button's retirement ten laps ago was cause by engine failure.

  28. 47/70 - Hamilton does not stop this time. He has a bit more fuel that's for sure.

  29. 46/70 - Raikkonen stops for the final time. This is a crucial stop for the Ferrari man. Soft tyres go on and 8.3 seconds is the time.

  30. 45/70 - Still Alonso is right behind Schumacher. Both will have to stop sppn though, and that is when Alonso's heavier fuel load should see him able to leapfrog the Toyota driver for what is now fourth place.

  31. 44/70 - Vitantonio Liuzzi retires from the race in the pits. He despondently gets out of his Toro Rosso.

  32. 44/70 - Ferrari's mechanics stand down. They had been set to welcome Raikkonen in case ths safety car came out.

  33. 43/70 - Anthony Davidson spins out exiting turn one. He banged wheels with Fisichella's Renault and appeared to have broken the right-rear suspension, which caused his off exiting turn one.

  34. 42/70 - Alonso is looking racy now. He's crawling all over the back of Schumacher... as Kubica pits from fourth.

  35. 41/70 - Heidfeld pits from third. 5.9 seconds is super-quick. Is he on a three or a two stop strategy? He re-joins ahead of Schumacher so he's only lost a place to his team-mate there.

  36. 40/70 - No, the clueless marshals keep giving the blue flags even though he is three seconds clear of the leaders. He pulls over. Nice one guys, you've totally screwed his race for him.

  37. 40/70 - Massa sets his fastest lap of the race, the fifth fastest of the race in total. And that's helped him take a second out of Wurz.

  38. 39/70 - Raikkonen is now only a second behind Hamilton... but ahead of them Massa is clearing off, so the blue flags should be taken in for sure.

  39. 37/70 - Jenson Button retires at the side of the track. What a contrast. A win last year and a dreadful race this time ending in a mechanical failure at turn 12.

  40. 36/70 - Massa exits ahead of Hamilton. Is this a deliberate attempt from Ferrari to unnerve the leader and help Raikkonen to close in further.

  41. 36/70 - Massa pits for his stop from 12th place. He only takes 6 seconds of fuel so he's switched to a two-stop strategy. He comes out behind Wurz... BUT AHEAD OF SATO! So he's made two places in the stops.

  42. 35/70 - ALONSO GOES OFF EXITING TURN FOUR! He'll be glad that's tarmac now and not gravel like it used to be. He only loses half a second or so to Ralf Schumacher.

  43. 34/70 - Sato pits. That will please Massa. He exits the pits... AND BRAKES RIGHT ON THE LINE AS HAMILTON TRIES TO LAP HIM AT TURN ONE. THE PAIR NEARLY COLLIDE BUT THAT WILL CERTAINLY HAVE HELPED RAIKKONEN TO CLOSE IN.

  44. 33/70 - Here's why. Rosberg pits. He was light on fuel. Fourth place becomes tenth.

  45. 32/70 - It's Rosberg and Kubica who are tearing up the track. They're both consistenlty half a second quicker than the leaders.

  46. 31/70 - The order is remaining pretty static with Hamilton and Raikkonen now unable to lap any quicker than the likes of Schumacher, Alonso and Heidfeld.

  47. 29/70 - Where have Honda gone wrong? The winners here last year but only 18th and 21st with Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello today. Heads will roll. Or at least they should.

  48. 28/70 - Kovalainen stops for the first time and that will be seventh place for Alonso.

  49. 27/70 - That's eighth place for Alonso then. At least it's a point.

  50. 27/70 - David Coulthard stops for the first time. That will drop him out of the top ten for sure.

  51. 26/70 - Raikkonen is plugging away at Hamilton, eating into his lead just by a tenth at a time. The gap is now down to 1.3 seconds.

  52. 25/70 - Kovalainen has a bit of a hole in his nose. That happened, I'm being told, because he tagged the back of Alonso at the first corner. That will be affecting his handling.

  53. 24/70 - So Alonso is only ninth, out of the points and 33 seconds behind leader Hamilton. It's even worse for Massa though. He's only 14th and has no chance to benefit from his strategy as he's still stuck behind the London bus that is Sato's Super Aguri and lapping a second slower than the leaders.

  54. 23/70 - Kubica stops... AND HE GETS AHEAD OF NOT JUST ALONSO BUT SCHUMACHER AS WELL. Great stuff from the Pole on the first anniverasry of his GP debut at this track.

  55. 22/70 - HAMILTON'S LEAD IS DOWN TO ONLY 1.8 SECONDS. RAIKKONEN GAINED SO MUCH TIME ON HIM IN THE STOP. The stationary time difference was only 1.1 seconds so he took two seconds out of him on entry and exit.

  56. 21/70 - Webber pits and re-joins right behind Alonso. I wonder if Kubica stands a chance of re-passing the McLaren at his stop after the Spaniard's heavy fuel load.

  57. 21/70 - The pair exit the pits... BUT DID HAMILTON PUT HIS LEFT WHEELS OVER THE WHITE BLEND LINE?

  58. 20/70 - Hamilton pits. So does Raikkonen. 9.7 for Hamilton, 8.6 for Raikkonen. That's a two-stop strategy for both. They remain in position.

  59. 19/70 - Toyota match McLaren by pulling Schumacher in straight away. HE STAYS AHEAD OF ALONSO. But the Spaniard has more fuel on board and will attempt to pass him at the second stop.

  60. 19/70 - 9.9 seconds is a long stop for Alonso so he's taken a lot of fuel. He drops to 12th behind Fisichella. Heidfeld and Rosberg came out inside the top ten but took on less gas.

  61. 18/70 - McLaren are ready for a pit-stop... IT'S ALONSO! Heidfeld and Rosberg are also in.

  62. 16/70 - We can safely assume that with Raikkonen generally able to match Hamilton, save for a few errors on a few laps, the pair are on similar strategies. That's bad news for the Finn and very good news for Hamilton.

  63. 15/70 - Massa is starting to put Sato under pressure. That Ferrari is very fat on fuel though. Even so, with him so far back that strategy won't work today for him.

  64. 14/70 - WOW!!!! A 1:20.1 FROM HAMILTON ADDS A SECOND TO THE GAP. He's now over four clear. I guess Raikkonen made a mistake on that lap.

  65. 13/70 - FASTEST LAP FOR RAIKKONEN. A 1:20.4 brings the gap to Hamilton down to three seconds.

  66. 13/70 - Fisichella goes off at turn 11 onto the run-off area. He loses 11th spot to Jarno Trulli's Toyota.

  67. 12/70 - Alonso is surely getting frustrated here. He trails Hamilton by two points in the championship after his Nurburgring win but will see that increased to nine points if the order remains as it is.

  68. 12/70 - Alonso is starting to pressure Ralf Schumacher. He kicks up some dust as he runs wide exiting the chicane. Alonso is just too far behind to take advantage of the mistake though.

  69. 11/70 - A case of 'anything you can do Kimi' perhaps?

  70. 10/70 - Hamilton responds with a new fastest lap but is only a few hundredths up on Raikkonen.

  71. 9/70 - Fastest lap from Raikkonen. He's reduced the deficit to Hamilton from 3.4 to 3.1 seconds.

  72. 8/70 - Renault were the only team to start both drivers on the super-soft rubber, and it's not paying off as Kovalainen and Fisichella are only ninth and 11th.

  73. 7/70 - Williams are already telling fourth place Rosberg to save fuel at this stage of the race. They want him to eke out an extra lap before his first stop.

  74. 6/70 - Well that's a good way to endear yourself to your new employers isn't it? The yellow flags are out and that means no overtaking at that corner.

  75. 6/70 - Sakon Yamamoto is out of the race. He's crashed pretty heavily at turn ten.

  76. 5/70 - Speaking of Ferrari, Felipe Massa is way down in 16th. He had a terrible start, losing two places from his grid spot.

  77. 5/70 - Hamilton's lead is up to 3.3 seconds now over Raikkonen. I wonder if the McLaren driver is carrying a good deal less fuel than his Ferrari rival.

  78. 4/70 - ALONSO MUST LOVE THAT CORNER. THIS TIME HE OUT-BRAKES ROBERT KUBICA'S BMW SAUBER FOR SIXTH PLACE. Next target Ralf Schumacher.

  79. 3/70 - ALONSO DIVES INSIDE MARK WEBBER FOR SEVENTH PLACE INTO TURN ONE. Good clean move from the world champion, who, don't forget, scored his first F1 win here in 2003.

  80. 3/70 - Into the third lap and Hamilton's lead is a stunning 2.4 seconds!

  81. 2/70 - ALONSO SLID VERY WIDE INTO THE FINAL CORNER AND KOVALAINEN ALMOST MAKES IT BY INTO TURN ONE! Fernando defends.

  82. 2/70 - As they complete the first lap it's Hamilton over a second ahead of Raikkonen, Heidfeld, Rosberg, Schumacher, Kubica,Webber, Alonso, Kovalainen and Coulthard.

  83. 1/70 - Great getaway from Hamilton. Raikkonen rockets up to second ahead of Heidfeld and Alonso loses a space and is seventh.

  84. 1/70 - We're off!!!!!!!!!

  85. 0/70 - They're on the grid and the lights are on...

  86. 0/70 - The formation lap is underway.

  87. 12:55 - Just five minutes to go then. Lewis Hamilton on pole with Fernando Alonso down in sixth following his qualifying penalty for delaying his team-mate in the pits.

  88. 09:00 - We'll be LIVE from 13:00 UK time at the Hungaroring just outside Budapest.
