Live Commentary

That is that. There's more of the same, albeit the 60-minute variety, at 9am on Saturday morning. Less hardcore fans might prefer qualifying at 1pm.
14:23 Kimi Raikkonen just noses in front of those Renaults. You'd imagine the teams are running race settings as these times are a lot slower than this morning.
14:13 Piquet goes to the top of the timesheet and it's a Renault one-two! Nobody has broken the 1:22 mark yet though.
14:10 Kovalainen had a gearbox problem, which is now OK by the sound of things and the Finn can get a few laps in during the final 20 minutes.
13:45
Problem for Robert Kubica. He has been suffering from massive understeer and he is back in the garage gesticulating madly.
13:30 "We're just shooting ourselves in the foot," Sebastien Bourdais tells his team via radio. Possibly not knowing he is being beamed out to millions.
13:25
Heikki Kovalainen has a problem with his car, which is currently in the pit with a clutch of mechanics around it. Seems to be something to do with the floor on the left side..
13:22 Plenty of drivers are out on the track but as yet there is little in the way of genuine pace. Well, they are still tearing round at 200mph, but you know what I mean.
13:09 Blimey! Lewis Hamilton spins! He was warned a minute ago that his brakes were cold, and there he goes. No harm done...

Welcome to LIVE coverage of the second free practice session from Montmelo. It was Ferrari quickest in the morning. What now?
