' Hamilton 10th at the end while Coulthard is ninth - Kubica fifth, Webber sixth...
'
Massa comes home at a snail's pace, waiting for his team-mate, and takes the chequered flag to win the French GP. Bully for him. Raikkonen second, Trulli third from Kovalainen.
' Kovalainen tries to take on Trulli and is forced off-track at the chicane - as happened with Hamilton - and the latter keeps his third position.
'
Piquet passes Alonso!!! That could prove a poignant moment in the youngster's career, taking on his world champion team-mate.
' Raikkonen looks set to coast home in second after his mechanical problems. The rain starts to spit again.
' Trulli has picked up the pace again and moved away a bit from the chasing pair, but not by much. Kubica has dropped further back though.
'
Raikkonen's exhaust flies off as he tears around one corner. He has over 20 seconds on the chasing pack so should be all right, barring a calamity. Massa 13 seconds clear at the front.
' The rain has stopped - and the battle for third is on as Kovalainen catches him right up in the last few laps! Kubica also there behind them...
' Hamilton closing on David Coulthard's Red Bull. In front of them are the Renaults, which are bearing down on Webber...
' Hamilton up to 11th and he will be bloody-minded in his pursuit of a point... 10 seconds the difference between eighth and his car.
'
Trulli is enjoying a great run today and should secure a podium finish for Toyota... it is raining!!! What will that mean for the strategies?
' Bourdais takes a short trip to the kitty litter but gets the car back on track.
' Kubica appears from the pitlane and is now behind Kovalainen. That must be galling for him.
' Raikkonen comes in and takes on fuel but nothing is done with the exhaust... they are risking it until the end of the GP. He retains second comfortably.
' Trulli in and out of the pits retain position, on the softs now.
' Kovailanen in fourth and closing the seven-second gap on Trulli... he carries McLaren's hopes today.
'
Raikkonen staying out for now as Kubica comes in. He rejoins in 10th. Hamilton still 13th... now 12th after passing Alonso.
' Friend of Eurosport Piquet currently seventh and in line for his first points of the season. Glock behind him.
' A clean pass executed by Kovalainen on Webber. He is up to fifth.
' Hamilton running 13th at present; not a million miles from the points though in terms of time. His result will depend on whether those ahead of him suffer problems.
'
Ferrari working out what to do with this car - it is fuelled for some time yet. There is a danger that it could catch fire...
'
One of Raikkonen's exhausts is hanging off - that explains the loss of power - and he allows Massa to go past him to lead the race! He is yet to win the French GP in his career despite qualifying well here.
' Massa continues his attack on Raikkonen - and Alonso's radio indicates that they think he has a problem.
' Massa has to negotiate two cars a lap down on him to set off back after Kimi. That battle now well worth keeping an eye on.
' Massa only three seconds behind Raikkonen as the latter seems to be lapping slowly now... that gap has halved in the last few laps.
' No rain as yet and Vettel has now made his stop, rejoining in 12th behind Kazuki Nakajima of Williams.
' Kubica will remain top of the drivers' standings if he takes a podium place, despite the dominance of the red cars here in France. That has to be his aim as he bears down on Trulli.
' Track temperature is at 27 degrees, while ambient temp is 25 - humidity at 67 percent.
' Trulli slowing in third but holding off Kubica, who is seven-tenths quicker than the Italian per lap at present...

' Hamilton bizarrely passes Rosberg for 16th place... Vettel in fourth place but he is yet to stop.
'

'
Bourdais loses control on the start-finish straight as Alonso gives chase.
' Webber comes out in front of Alonso, 10th position for him. Good work by the Australian, who did not have the best of starts.
' Massa unhappy with Hamilton now, believing that he did not let him past easily enough as he lapped him.
' Button had to drive with the wing lodged underneath his car after running into Sebastien Bourdais. He says the car was 'undriveable'.
' Both Trulli and Kubica pit in the battle for third place. Trulli still ahead of his rival.
' Hamilton pits and re-emerges behind Raikkonen - he's a lap down on the Finn. Tough times for Lewis.
'
Hamilton whacks Alonso as he screams past him on a right-hand bend, an aggressive move that the Spaniard will not be pleased with.
' Button's race is over after that front wing damage. He does not look happy.
' Raikkonen and Massa eighteen seconds clear of Trulli, with four seconds between the Scuderia pair. Glock up in fifth, eight seconds behind championship leader Kubica.
' Alonso comes into the pits and re-emerges in 12th, the first of the drivers to make a scheduled stop.
'
Hamilton is penalised with a drive-through penalty - to be performed in the next three laps. He comes in immediately. That puts him 13th... behind Nick Heidfeld.
' McLaren seem in the dark over whether Hamilton will be punished for cutting the chicane. It was not clear-cut - he had to rescue the car after a coming together and just happened to gain the advantage from there.
' Kubica now closing on Alonso, making up half-a-second on the last lap. He's around two seconds off his pace.
' The Ferraris are well away from the rest of the field while behind them Trulli adds to his advantage over Alonso.
'
Hamilton is under investigation for that move on Vettel. Could that mean a drive-through penalty?
' Defensive work by Piquet as Hamilton looks to shoot past him. The latter locks it up a bit and loses the chance to attack again on the exit of the next bend.
' Button in last now after replacing that wing in the pits. Kovalainen is carrying more fuel than Lewis and the Briton passes him - now we have an old-school GP2 duel between the Renault of Eurosport blogger Piquet and the McLaren lad.
'
Hamilton also seems to have got away with passing Sebastien Vettel's Toro Rosso off the track at the chicane in the early stages. Jenson Button has been off too, and has lost the front wing off his Honda.
' Hamilton touched the back of his team-mate's car on that first lap - there doesn't seem to be any damage on either McLaren though. We'll keep you posted.
' Championship leader Robert Kubica in fifth, Timo Glock up to sixth from eighth at the start, then come Webber, Nelson Piquet Jr and Kovalainen.
' Alonso with a slow start in Renault's home grand prix, Trulli taking third position from him... Hamilton up to 10th behind Kovalainen!
' AND WE'RE GO GO GO!!! The Ferraris away well...

- Lewis Hamilton will start in 13th position after incurring a 10-place grid penalty for running into the back of Kimi Raikkonen in Canada in the pitlane, his McLaren team-mate Kovalainen in 10th after he was penalised five place for impeding Mark Webber in qualifying yesterday, and Nico Rosberg starts in last for his part in that Hamilton incident.
