88' Wilkinson booked for Stoke for a late challenge - Boro just passing it around now trying to play out these last few moments.
84' Boro back in front - Tuncay has finally found the target!! The ball came out to Digard who scuffed a shot into the ground only for it to find the Turk near the penalty spot completely unmarked. The Stoke team were trying to play the offside trap but Wilkinson came out too late. Tuncay has missed a host of chances but this one he managed to bury home.
82' Stoke looking much more secure since their goal - they have also just made their final change - Cresswell on for Kitson.- 78' Boro running out of time here - Gary O'Neil has just been booked for a lunge on Dave Kitson.
- 75 Alves has now been replaced by Mido while Hoyte was also taken off just after the goal for Taylor. Stoke have brought on last week's hero Sidibe for Fuller.
74' Low drive from Alves from just outside the area shot with great power but Sorensen gets down superbly to save.- 70' But it is not 1-0 it is 1-1!!! Who would have thought it? Liam Lawrence whips in a great low cross from the right to the back post. Justin Hoyte was trying hard to defend Dave Kitson but he took his eye off the ball. It bounces off his knee and trickles in. From nowhere Stoke are level.

- 50' Stoke give away another free-kick in a central position. This time Downing takes his chance and curls it just wide with Sorensen scrambling to reach it. You have to fear for Stoke here they could get overwhelmed in this second period.

- 46' Aliadiere cuts in from the right all the way into the box but then when he tries to shoot he...well he falls over.

45' And there is the half-time whistle - things were going so well for Stoke until Faye's challenge but now they have a mountain to climb if they are to get anything out of this game.- 44' Fuller comes into from the right with a purposeful run but he is eventually crowded out by red shirts - he appeals for a penalty but you rarely see those given.

- 38' Oh and it gets worse and worse for the visitors - all their good work undone as from the resulting free-kick Alves curls a stunning effort around the wall and into the top corner from over 30 yards. Sorensen didn't even move.
36' Disaster for Boro as Amdy Faye is given a straight red card for a two footed lunge on Gary O'Neil. You don't get away with those type of challenges these days I'm afraid. What's worse it all came from a Boro counter attack set up after a woeful "training ground" free-kick move from Stoke.- 32' The ball bounces out to Amdy Faye 30 yards from goal and as soon as he starts trying to control and line it up you can see exactly what is going to happen - a shot from distance miles over the bar. Still all Stoke though.
- 30' Not too many would have predicted this at the start but Stoke are bossing the midfield - Boro started ok but now they just can't get their foot on the ball - very impressive this from Stoke.
- 26' Very nice little spell this by Stoke who are looking every bit as much as Premier League side as Boro - Kitson has just flicked a header on target but it was straight at Turnbell.
- 23' Stoke are getting some joy when they get balls into the box - Seyi Olofinjana has just done well to take down one cross before setting up Delap for a blocked shot and then moments later he slipped another ball behind the defence again to Delap that Huth has to scrap to clear.
- 19' Great save by Turnbell - he has to get down quickly to his bottom left hand corner to push away an excellent curled free kick from Liam Lawrence from 30 yards out.
- 18' A mess of a clearance from Sorensen puts Leon Cort in trouble - he is nicked in possession by Mohamed Shawky and he charges to the edge of the area. Alves gets in his way somewhat but he finally gets a shot away - it is straight at Sorensen though.
- 15' Decent play from Fuller as he shrugs off Gary O'Neil with his back to goal 30 yards out. He then manages to turn and tries to curl a shot into the top corner but it goes well over the bar. Stoke doing ok here though.
- 11' Great chance for Boro goes begging as Afonso Alves is found free in the box after a lovely whipped cross by Gary O'Neil. The Brazilian can only direct his header wide though. The camera pans to Mido on the bench and the Egyptian's face shows an expression that screams "I would have scored that." He might have too!
- 7' Nice little spell of pressure from Stoke - Turnbell has just flapped at a cross and it fell to Delap in the box - the Irish international got a shot away but it was blocked before troubling the goal.
- 4' No attempts on goal for either side in these opening stages - both teams struggling to get their passing going.
1' And off we go.- - Just about ready to get underway - Boro wearing their all red home shirts - Stoke in yellow and blue.
- - One change for Boro from the team that were so unlucky to lose to Liverpool. Justin Hoyte comes in for his league debut for Boro. Stoke are unchanged from the side that beat Aston Villa 3-2 last weekend.
