- 29' This five-man Czech midfield is causing Turkey real problems - they have created nothing of note so far. But they have seen much more of the ball in the last 15 minutes.

- 20' Semih chases a diagonal ball towards the corner flag and wins a throw off Jankulovsky.. it results in a shot for Topal that flashes wide from 20 yards.
- 17' Matejovsky!! Latches onto a Koller knockdown and strikes one, but Volkan is equal to it.

- 19:44 Here are the anthems. As you would imagine, the Turks make rather more noise than their central European rivals. In fact, the Czech hymn has a rather restful tone to it. Pleasant stuff, but not all that stirring. It's like standing to attention for a Hovis advert.

- - No surprises in the Turkey team. Coach Fatih Terim named his side yesterday - a 4-4-2 featuring Semih Senturk and Nihat Kahveci up front, with Tuncay Sanli moving back to an attacking wide midfield role.

Didn't do a lot for the first 86 minutes, but honestly who cares? What on hand to scuff home the equaliser, and then scored a stupendous winner.
