90+4' And there's the whistle. Relief for South Africa as they finally find their scoring boots and get their first win of the competition to set progress to the next round in good stead.
89' Masiela clears an Angola free-kick off the line before Manucho can convert, saving the hosts a very tense finish!
85' Amaro is the third Angola sub, on for Afonso.
84' Good floated cross by Lunguinha from the right meets the head of Manucho! Well saved by Khune!
78' Mphela's impressive shift is over. He makes way for Oupa Manyisa and that's all of SA's subs used up.
77' Penetrating delivert from Gilberto which Khune flaps at, but gets a vital hand to which denies Pirolito the chance to head in from a yard at the far post!
65' Angola's attempt to try the fightback starts with another change, bringing on 60-cap veteran Gilberto for Dede.
61' GOAL SOUTH AFRICA! That's the cushion they sought as Majoro bursts down the left on another breakaway, shakes off Afonso and nutmegs the keeper from an acute angle. Superb stuff. 2-0!
58' Another hosts change first, as Lehlohonolo Majoro is on for Rantie. Bit of a suprise switch as though he has scuppered a few chances, Rantie was certainly keeping the defenders busy.
54' Now it's SA's turn to stride forward. Great work by Mphela to hold up play and go backwards to set up Furman from 20 yards... pushed around the far post by Lama!
53' Great pull-back by Mateus on the right for Guilherme! Saved by Khune from the unmarked Angolan! He was bang central and just 10 yards from goal, it was their best chance yet!
49' Silly lunge by Massunguna on Rantie earns the defender the first booking of the game.
47' Reneilwe Letsholonyane is on for Mahlangu, and just as the game kicked off Angola's staff were furious as they had a sub prepped at the same time who wasn't formally allowed on, leaving them down to 10! It was Campos Djalma coming on for Da Costa, which has now also been sorted.
46' South Africa have made a half-time sub and have kicked off the second 45. Just going to get verification of the sub for you...
45+1' And there's the whistle. A changed and much improved South Africa hold a slender lead at the interval thanks to Sangweni's lovely finish on the half hour, but there's every opportunity in the second 45 for Angola to make SA regret not taking those extra chances.
44' Mahlangu's cross is weakly fisted by Lama! Rantie tries to head into the open goal but can't bring it down! He's wasted a few chances so far.
42' Big chance for Angola! Manucho does well to head a deep centre across goal, but Mateus can't keep the volley down!
32' Almost a chance for Manucho! Not convincing defending from the throw but the ball pinballs wide off the striker.
30' GOAL SOUTH AFRICA! The Parker free-kick isn't cleared properly and falls for Sangweni, with a superb volleyed finish across Lama for the first goal in Group A. And what a finish from a defender! 1-0!
18' More South African pressure as the Angolan defence fails to read a ball in from the left, leaving Mphela to stab the ball against an outrushing Lama for the save.
9' Another South Africa free-kick. Great delivery from Parker this time meets the head of Khumalo... can't guide it towards goal! And Rantie was lurking there had his captain not deflected it away from him at the far post!

The standard of football was poor
WELL DONE BAFANA BAFANA
CAF...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz & almost as bad as Scotish so-called football.
The standard of African Football is too low even when played on world class pitches.
Being the host nation, Bafana, Bafana needs to have a positive result out of their second game. Surely the crowd would be behind the team as usual but the Angolans are not to be under-estimated. It would be an open game of football in which both teams would seize any opportunity presented.
south africa have to change stly of play if to remain.angola is playing with full force ang=2 south africa=1.cheers
come on south africa angola will lose toinght join game with me
Go South Africa! If Bafana lose, they go home.... wait they are home. ;-)
