Marko Vejinovic scores astonishing own goal

22-year-old Heracles midfielder Marko Vejinovic scored one of the goals of the season in the Dutch Eredivisie at the weekend - a strike only soured by it being straight into his own net.

The youngster looked to volley a cross out of danger, but instead sliced it straight past his keeper as his team slid to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Groningen.

It went from bad to worse for Vejinovic - he went on to be sent off in the final minute of the match.

    Some more remarkable own goals:

    - Keeper's horrible own goal gaffe

    - The loop-the-loop own goal

    - A bad way to kick off the Ukrainian Premier League season
