Judd Trump wows crowd with funky £2,000 shoes

Snooker's world number two Judd Trump was already a crowd favourite when he turned up to play in the Masters at Alexandra Palace.

But he earned even more kudos from the crowd by turning up to play his opening match in a quite staggering pair of shoes.

The £2,000 slip-ons are apparently inspired by the film Rollerball, and were dreamt up by famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

And Trump admitted before his first round clash with Barry Hawkins that he hopes they'll become something of a lucky charm for him.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way: Trump's funky footwear looked good, but what it brought him in style it took away in comfort.

The Bristolian was apparently in such discomfort with the shoes that he was seen to change them and wear something a bit more comfy by the third frame!
