Three university students in Portugal have developed 'PoolLiveAid' which they call a "snooker project capable of ball, cue and tables detection, for easy learning and move prediction."
The amazing technology is still in its testing phase but as you can see from the video above it allows the users to play pool as if it is a computer game with the path of the balls all laid out.
Luis Sousa, Ricardo Alves, and J.M.F Rodrigues of the University of the Algarve are the boffins behind the protect.
Now, whether your mates would allow you to use such a cue in the boozer though is another matter altogether.
