The transfer window may be shut but intriguing moves can still be found.
And Marca in Spain have just reported a whopper because Jose Mourinho's son has reportedly signed a one-year contract with a Premier League club…and it is not Chelsea.
Fulham refused to confirm or deny the story simply saying in a statement: "Fulham Football Club does not comment on the identity of any of the young people participating in the numerous football programmes on offer at the club."
Mourinho Jnr is said to be a talented young goalkeeper and spent a few years playing with Real Madrid's Canillas team while his father was manager of the Liga giants.
Once the Mourinho family came back to London, Jose Snr returned to Chelsea but Junior went on trial with Fulham and impressed them sufficiently enough to earn a contract, albeit only a one-year one as that is the most they can offer a player of that age.
Mourinho Snr has famously become one of the most highly-rated coaches in the world despite a very limited career as a player in the central midfield position.
However, footballing ability, and specifically goalkeeping talent, does run in the family.
Mourinho Jnr's grandfather (Jose's dad) - Jose Manuel Mourinho – was a top goalkeeper in Portugal in the 1970s who was capped by Portugal and who won two Portuguese Cups with Vitoria Setubal.
It remains to be seen if Mourinho Jnr can replicate that success but it certainly would be interesting to see him between the posts at a Premier League game in the future – especially if he went up against a side managed by his father!
