Mistakes happen all the time, right?
That's exactly what happened to a small pocket of Gunners fans on social media since Friday evening, when their team confirmed the arrival of Sweden international Kim Kallstrom from Spartak Moscow.
It appears that a few mischievous (or deluded) instigators informed the Arsenal fanbase on Twitter that their new midfielder was now on the site:
Fans then proceeded to wish Kim well in droves... only, it wasn't the footballer.
@BenAFC78 Thanks...I did play soccer back in the day, but won't be playing for the Arsenal. I am just a soccer mom in Tennessee now! Lol
— Kim Kallstrom (@KKallstrom) February 1, 2014
@kkallstrom, to her credit, admitted that while she is a 'soccer mom' from Tennessee whose nine-year-old son is a big fan of her namesake player, she will not be joining 'The Arsenal' any time soon.
Perhaps in the summer, eh? She and Julian Draxler could be the double swoop that prepares Arsene Wenger's men for an excellent 2014-15!
And to think, followers of the London side were probably quick to mock those Manchester United fans who heaped praise on @RVP via Twitter, thinking they were directly contacting the Dutch striker who departed the Emirates for Old Trafford.
