Even if you missed this weekend's Premier League matches, a cursory glance at the Team of the Week statistics would tell you that Manchester United produced something pretty special while Aston Villa were on the end of a bit of a shoeing.
HOW IT WORKS
We tot up the marks out of 10 awarded in five national newspapers - The Sun, The Mirror, The Mail, The Times and The Guardian - to create a total out of 50. The top player in each position will be rewarded with a spot in the Team of the Week, while the worst scorers will be named and shamed in our Flops XI.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Cristiano Ronaldo had all the pundits drooling once again with his stellar performance in United's slick demolition of Villa, but Portsmouth keeper David James is our Player of the Week after his penalty save against Wigan set him on his way to a 14th clean sheet of the season.
Sunderland loanee Jonny Evans keeps his place at centre-half after another assured performance against West Ham, while pint-sized Argentine Mauro Zarate can look forward to a whole host of unhelpful The New Maradona/Messi/Tevez headlines after a neatly taken brace against Manchester City.

2. Glen Johnson (Portsmouth) - 35
3. Phil Bardsley (Sunderland) - 36

FLOPS OF THE WEEK
Arsenal's Abou Diaby is the deserving recipient of our Flop of the Week award after his horror tackle on Bolton's Gretar Steinsson earned him a straight red card at the Reebok.

FLOPS OF THE SEASON (minimum 16 starts)
While Michael Owen's goals take him ever closer to an escape from the dreaded Flops of the Season XI, his Newcastle team-mate Alan Smith is heading in the opposite direction at a frightening speed, with only the enduring ineptness of Derby's Jay McEveley preventing him from being crowned Worst Player in the Premier League.
