Chesterfield have announced a home friendly with Premier League new boys Hull on July 22 in preparation for the new campaign.The Tigers are preparing for their first season in the top flight and will provide a tough test for Chesterfield as they prepare for the 2008/09 season.

The Spireites will also host Sheffield Wednesday on July 29 as well as trips to Matlock Town, Burton Albion and a friendly against the world's oldest football club, Sheffield FC at Dronfield Stadium in their pre-season campaign.
