Italy coach Nick Mallett has added Carlo Del Fava to his squad for the Six Nations match against France after the lock was cleared of misconduct.

Forward Tommaso Reato has also been included in the squad for the game in Paris on March 9, the Italian Rugby Federation said on its website.

Del Fava (pictured) was cited for an incident with fly-half Stephen Jones during the 47-8 defeat by Wales last Saturday but a disciplinary committee said it was not satisfied he had committed a foul.

Hopwever, team mate Mauro Bergamasco was banned for 13 weeks after the flanker was found guilty of deliberately placing his finger in the eye of Wales full-back Lee Byrne.

Bergamasco had already been left out of the squad pending the hearing.
