Hosts Scotland have been handed a tough task in the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens after being drawn against South Africa, Australia and Argentina.
The Scots face this month's Adelaide Cup champions South Africa in Pool B on day one of the tournament at Murrayfield on May 31.
Leaders New Zealand face England, Russia and Portugal in Pool A of the two-day event, which rounds off the IRB Sevens World Series season.
The Kiwis look set to retain the title after winning the first five cups but they have yet to rubber-stamp their defence and South Africa, Fiji and Samoa are battling it out for second place.
Samoa face Canada, Spain and Wales, while the Fijians line up in Pool D against France, Moldova and Kenya.
New Zealand need victory in the plate or a cup semi-final appearance to seal their series defence at the Emirates Airline London Sevens.
