Italy coach Nick Mallett has revamped his squad for next month's Six Nations match in France, with cited duo Mauro Bergamasco and Carlo Del Fava among those left out.
Italy, who won twice in the Six Nations last year, have lost all three of their matches so far in this campaign and face France in Paris on March 9.
Flanker Bergamasco and lock Del Fava were cited for incidents during their 47-8 defeat by Wales on Saturday and will appear separately before an independent three-man disciplinary committee in London on Wednesday.
If they are cleared, the pair may come back into the squad although Bergamasco suffered a shoulder problem in Cardiff.
Lock Santiago Dellape, who gained his 50th cap against Wales, is out of the squad with a slight calf injury. Carlo Festuccia and Paolo Buso are also missing.
Wing Kaine Robertson returns after injury while Fabio Ongaro comes back into the squad and Viadana's Jacobus Erasmus (pictured) is given a first call-up.
