The Nashville Predators have signed netminder Dan Ellis and defenceman Shea Weber to new contracts.
The 28-year-old Ellis agreed to a two-year deal worth $3.5 million (£1.78 million). He led the National Hockey League in save percentage (.924) and established a team record for shutouts (six) in his first full season with the Predators.
He had a 23-10-3 record with a 2.34 goals-against average.
Weber, 23, signed a three-year, $13.5 million (£6.87 million) contract.
He had six goals and 14 assists during the 2007-2008 season despite missing 28 games with an injury.
