The Cobblers return to pre-season training next week but Gray has refused to press the panic button as clubs continue to do business elsewhere.

"Most clubs start their pre-seasons in the next week or two and that means that players and managers are returning from holidays," he told the club's official website.

"That will help things move along as things naturally take longer when people are away but as the season draws closer then people want to get things sorted out.

"Up front is obviously where we are looking but we haven't ruled out other players as well if the right deals can be done.

"We also have the option of the loan market as well as loan players have served us very well over the last couple of years and hopefully they will do so again this season."
