Centre-back Nelson Rivas is also unavailable after twisting his ankle but defender Cristian Chivu makes the trip to face his former club after recovering from a shoulder injury.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti said that defender Christian Panucci and goalkeeper Doni were slight doubts.

Inter captain Javier Zanetti and Roma counterpart Francesco Totti issued a joint statement appealing for calm ahead of the final after authorities decided both sets of fans can attend the Rome showpiece.

"Two great teams face each other at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow evening," they said. "Two teams who have honoured the fans and the championship thanks to their passion and effort.

"It will be an evening of joy and respect."
