Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale insists work on their new stadium is "bang on course" despite the threat of court action hanging over the club. The Bluebirds are due to move into the new stadium along with rugby union side Cardiff Blues at the start of the 2009/10 season and Ridsdale is confident that target will be achieved.
"It's bang on course," Ridsdale told BBC Sport Wales. "There was a lot of uncertainty before Christmas and that was disappointing, but this is a new beginning for Cardiff City and Cardiff Blues."
City are currently in a legal battle with Swiss-based firm Langston, who claim they are owed £24million in loan repayments, with the two sides due to meet in court in March.
But Ridsdale remains hopeful the matter can be resolved out of court. He said: "I've always said I don't believe that would be in anybody's interest. I don't believe we will get to court in March. I believe that sense will prevail."
