Rory Lamont, one of the stand-out players for Scotland during their recent World Cup campaign, will make his Sale debut on Friday evening when the Sharks welcome Saracens to Edegely Park.
Sharks director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre will hope the in-form Lamont (pictured) can help his team overcome a difficult start to the Guinness Premie5ship season that has seen them win just two of the first five games.
Not available to Saint-Andre is Lamont's Scotland team-mate and Sharks skipper Jason White.
The hard-tackling flanker picked up a minor knee injury in the 31-12 defeat at Gloucester last weekend, but should be available for the Anglo-Welsh Cup game at Cardiff on October 26.
Sale, champions in 2005-6, are currently seventh in the Premiership standings but will hope for a better return when they welcome back the remainder of their World Cup contingent.
Yet to play for the Sharks this season are France internationals Sebastien Chabal and Serge Bruno, while prop Andrew Sheridan and wing Mark Cueto are in the England side to face South Africa in Saturday's final.
