AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani insists Emmanuel Adebayor is the Serie A club's sole transfer target this summer, ruling out moves for rumoured targets Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba.
The Rossoneri are currently being linked with a host of attacking players following the departure of Alberto Gilardino to Fiorentina and a serious injury to Ronaldo.
Galliani revealed at the beginning of June Chelsea star Drogba, Barcelona forward Eto'o, Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez were all on Milan's wish list along with Arsenal forward Adebayor.
But now the Milan vice president claims the club will put all their efforts into convincing Arsenal to part with their Togo forward, insisting "if he doesn't come nobody will".
"One single player interests us and that is Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor," Galliani was quoted as saying in L'Equipe.
"If he doesn't come then nobody will come and we will keep the team as it is in attack."
Arsenal are reluctant to part with their star forward, who last season found the net 30 times in 48 outings.
But Galliani was adamant the Italian club will continue to chase Adebayor until they are convinced they can do no more to persuade Arsenal to sell.
"We are in negotiations with Arsenal, who are not willing to sell at the moment," he continued.
"We'll see how far we can get with our offer. If the English club still don't want to sell, then too bad."
The player himself has repeatedly committed his future to London club.

Owolabi. i completely argue with you. im from togo and i reside in the united states. just 1 thing
plz it's lionel messy. not mercy lol. get it right man
Adebayor is a striker - confirmed, but I am more of the notion that people should give him one more chance to perform in this new season. Last season, 30 goals in 48 matches - fantastic! My fear is just that his future in Football as at the present lies in the hand of the stingy and self-centred French coach, Wenger; because Adebayor was able score 30 goals last season with a lot of contribution from the most respected forward assistants like Fabregas, Hleb, Flamini etc., unlike now that few out of these matured players had been sold by frenchie man, hoping to replace them with some new baby players of 12 and 13 years old, who averagely poss little or no experience, certainly, it would be seriously detrimental for Ade's performance.
For now, he can still stay but whenever he sees that Wenger's idea is laying the hands of jeopardy into his career, he should just think twice so that his name will not get burnt in the middle but in lower class of the worldbest. Even if Lionel Mercy come to Arsenal today, his career may sink and lie under the sea because he can't just do it alone, football is all about TEAM-WORK!
Adebayor should just be careful because his sun is just rising!
From - Are Owolabi - Nigeria.
it dosent matter if arsenal lose Adebayor
They can like replace him for uh like Drogba or Henry or Keane
And if wenger sells him for like 36 Million BOOM!! Arsenal have Keane or Drogba or Ronaldo
ADEBAYO is good, but not good enough if we have to win the premier league next season.let him go
Adebayor will join Chelsea
To let Adebayor go having lost Henry the season before last would be criminal. Ade has a lot too offer and will get even better with time. 24 goals in 36 matches last season is a great return. And with Van Persie seemingly injured most of the time (and apparently bitching about our pay structure: not bad for someone who gets paid whist he doesn't work for months on end) we need strike power.
I say replace Ponderous Senderos and I Can't Help Falling Down All The Time Eboue. We definitely need to strengthen the squad which has been stretched to its limits at times over the past couple of years. We lack depth but how to keep everyone happy? Well, that is why AW is paid the big bucks. AW knows.
Ade is a quality striker, he went from following in henry's shadow to arsenal's top striker and 2nd highest in the league. how the hell can you say that is @#$%? The amount of important goals he scored, tap-ins or quality, their still goals that count. If we didnt have him we would have struggled. I say keep him but buy a fast attacking and dangerous striker like VILLA to worknext to him and their combo will be amazing!
Adebayor is a good player, but at this time he is not what we want in Arsenal. We need a fast and dangerous attacker. So if MR.Wenger will sell him,he should for a very good price.Thereafter buy better products"DANGEROUS ATTACKERS"The market is still very open.If we do the right thing, the club will reclaim its glory.
replace adebayor with david villa
Adebayor can be sold for the right amount of green. He is a Good player but there are no irreplaceable players in football especially in my Arsenal.
I'd like to have him stay but would gladly let go for anything greater = 25million pounds. And i know Wenger would too.
Just let go ADEBAYOR he not deserve to be arsenal striker..PLEASE ARSENE WENGER...!!! we lose the title last season coz we have a striker like ADEBAYOR..HE IS NOTHING..
his goals all were easy goals....SELL ADEBAYOR ....SELL ADEBAYOR....
30 goal in 48 outings,its great dude...he can stay,
MR.Wenger pls let Ade go..b'coz he can do nothing infront of goal post, his goals all were easy goal..need to thanks for his teammate to make the chance for him.If hisself to make a goal, omg tat is impossible ^^. Let him go ba, n use the money to find a real striker..CHEER Gunner !!!!!!!!
pls,let adebayor leave,he is a big waste in front of goal,we need something better than him.
for dennispepple2000 :
blah blah blah blaaaaaa blah GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl
howsthat oh its a offside but given a goal, oh no it happened 30 times i guess Ade is too lucky man
dennispepple2000 why don't you be line refree, than i guess no one cn score goals b'cos everytime will be offside according to you. And let Adriano Galliani do his job, as he knows who is best for AC milan.
cheers King Ade
dennis, you think adebayor is slow? i think you need to watch him a bit more
adebayo is a waiste pipe, for me milan is wasting thier resources and time, he is such a slow player, and can only score offside goals, for me its a messy deal.
dennis
nigerian soccer analyst
though i don't really think 'ade man' is a world class striker,Milan should just give up on their chase because Arsenal still needs him.He has alot of potential for improvement.VIVA GUNNNNEEEERRRRSSSS!!!!
